September Field Trip

Our September field trip is to the Holmes Veterinary Hospital in Laurens on Church Street.  We will go on a Monday morning at 9am - either 9/11 or 9/18 or both if we have a large group and need to split it up.  If we do split up the younger grades will probably go on the first date and the older grades on the following date.

There will be a presentation by Dr. Burns, a tour of the hospital, some hands-on work and the chance to observe a surgery (only something non-invasive, like dental surgery, for the younger group).  Plan on 1 1/2 hours there.  There is no cost for this trip.

This is an animal hospital so there will be odors. :-)  If you have a sensitive nose or a queasy stomach you might want to miss this one.

We will meet where we have Friday Forum and leave at 8:45am to go to the hospital (if you know where it is and wish to meet us there that will be fine).

Please let Lynn Smith(treasure@backroads.net) know by Saturday, September 2, if you plan on going so that she can nail down the date(s) and let the hospital know how many to expect.
